Being the new kid on the block is a pure pleasure when you’ve got gracious neighbors. Yesterday, we shared our favorite places to eat, drink, and snack in Nashville’s 12 South, where our first Draper James boutique is opening this week. Today we tell you about some of the stores that make us want to throw on our power shopping boots and hit the Avenue.
Corner Music: Aspiring musicians and pros alike have been flocking to Music City’s iconic instrument store since 1978.
Craft South: Your inner Etsy seller will swoon over the variety of craft and sewing supplies at this artsy haven.
Emerson Grace: This contemporary boutique sells covetable, on-trend styles. Think flared jeans, stackable bracelets, plaid shirts and luxe textured sweaters.
The Filling Station: Take-out craft beer is the business at The Filling Station (so much better than gas!). Customers purchase a reusable glass jug called a growler, fill it up with one of two dozen local beers on tap, and bring it back for a re-fill whenever they’re ready.
Flower Basket: This local plant store is perhaps most beloved for the Pumpkin Patch, a festive pop-up boasting all sorts of seasonal goodies, from gourds to pumpkins. Come Thanksgiving, it turns into Santa’s Christmas Trees, a merry tree lot selling all sorts of holiday greenery.
Imogene + Willie: Named after the founders’ grandparents and set up in an old service station, Nashville’s denim mecca sells its own great-fitting jeans and tees along with a smattering of accessories.
White’s Mercantile: One of Reese’s favorite Nashville haunts, White’s Mercantile is a modern-day general store owned by singer/songwriter (and Draper James pal) Holly Williams. From Moonshine Boot Wax to Crisp & Co. Pickles to a fancy bud vase, leather tote, or limited-edition print (virtually everything is made in the South), there’s no better spot for the perfect present.
