The new Draper James leather handbag collection has inspired a new series on the Love, Reese blog: Meet My Handbag.
Our head of design, Kathryn, created these bags so they could live with you every day—from work to date night to all kinds of errands—and we wanted to share how they fit in the lives of some of our favorite Draper James girls.
Lauren of the blog Going for Grace is first up in the series, and her bag, the Leather Satchel, is certainly one of the standout styles this season. With its removable strap, the satchel converts into a crossbody, and its pretty color block layout is reminiscent of the colors you’ll see in our Draper James stores.

What’s your favorite thing about the Leather Satchel?
My favorite thing about the Leather Satchel is the color palette. The navy, cream, and Draper James blue is perfection!
What can you always find in your handbag?
I never go anywhere without a small notepad, a few snacks, a perfume roller, and my favorite lip colors.
The lip colors always make me smile; like any Southern mother, my mom taught me that a little color on your lips can brighten your whole face, even on your longest days!
Describe the Leather Satchel in one word.
Versatile!
What would be your ideal place to bring the Leather Satchel?
It is the perfect bag for my busiest of days. Often times I am running straight from the office to product pull or shoot for Going For Grace and this bag is perfect for both.
I love that it is large enough to hold my shoot essentials while still looking pretty and polished for the office. Plus, the detachable shoulder strap makes for a seamless transition!
