“Where can we grab a good cocktail?” is a question Charleston visitors often find themselves asking.
It’s hot, it’s humid, and they need something to take the edge off and quench their thirst.
Well, we’d point them over to King St and The Darling Oyster Bar.
Located a few blocks above Marion Square (the hub of the Charleston Farmers’ Market), The Darling Oyster Bar is known for creative seafood and a good cocktail.
The Lowcountry hot-spot is a favorite among locals and tourists alike, which shouldn’t come as a surprise: Everyone loves a delicious aperitif!
One of their most popular drinks, the Basil Daisy, is a simple cocktail even the most inexperienced of bartenders can whip up at home. And the restaurant was kind enough to share the recipe for the vodka-based drink below.
So the next time you find yourself in Charleston (make sure to read our Charleston city guide before you go), pull up a chair at The Darling Oyster Bar and sip on a Basil Daisy for us.
Cheers, y’all!
