Draper James Girls know how to dress for a party. We also know how to throw one.
To honor the opening of our flagship boutique in Nashville, we threw a VIP grand opening party last Wednesday.
Under the twinkly lights strung on the ceiling of a tent we erected adjacent to the store, no less than 600 guests mingled, shopped, and grooved to some unforgettable tunes by a few of Nashville’s greats.
Reese wore a Limited Edition Lynn Lace Panel Dress we created especially for her to wear to the party. It was such a hit that we offered it for sale online. While the white version sold out in less than a day, there are a few pieces left in navy.
Reese’s husband, Jim Toth (pictured here), was in Nashville by her side, as were her mom, Betty, and brother and sister-in-law, John and Jennie.
It was certainly a family affair—if an extended one! Lots of relatives and friends, both local and from around the country, came out to support Reese and the brand.
The evening’s modern southern menu included cocktails (it should be no surprise to see sweet tea of some kind on our menu!) and light hors d’oeuvres, including shrimp and grits and mini grilled cheese bites.
The evening’s entertainers made Music City proud. Country superstar Leeann Womack, wearing our Monroe Top, performed a beautiful acoustic set. Nashville-based singer and songwriter Ruby Amanfu also brought down the house—and simultaneously stunned in our Grace Lace Dress.
If you thought the evening was a CMA pre-party, we wouldn’t fault you for your confusion. Lots of country music’s biggest stars came out for the evening, including Reba McEntire and Kacey Musgraves (in our Collection Embellished Short Sleeve Top), both pictured here.
Reba gave a snuggle to Faith Hill, wearing our Belle Sleeve Dress.
Sheryl Crow rocked it, as always, in our Lucinda Long Peacoat and Leopard Lady Satchel. And singer-songwriter Cam proved our Printed Silk Romper and White Ryman Jacket look pitch-perfect for evening.
Draper James CEO Andrea Hyde (back row, center), pictured here with members of our team, dressed head-to-toe in the brand, of course.
The evening’s excitement only served to fuel the shopping.
Reese, who was practically moved to tears by all the love in the room, gave a heartfelt toast thanking everyone who has supported the brand along the way. “Let’s bring more people to Nashville! And show ’em what it’s all about!” she said.
Cheers!
