Sometimes, winter down South is pleasant: a perfect place to escape the harsh temperatures you’ll find elsewhere.
Other times, it can be a little less pleasant. Hello, winter storms…
Either way, we’ll still be wearin’ dresses all year round.
Adriana of the blog Leopard Martini, an Austin, Texas resident, is a dress gal, too.
She chose to style the Draper James Blooming Lace Shift Dress and well as the Tisdale Floral Bow Dress to show us just how versatile dresses can be (even when the temperatures drop).
What drew you to both of these dresses?
I love wearing bright colors and fun prints and always seem to gravitate to both.
These two dresses are so feminine and fun and make the perfect additions to my spring wardrobe.
How do you choose to style dresses when it’s cold outside?
I just moved back to Texas after being in NYC for a few years, so I’m beginning to add lighter layers to my closet as opposed to my heavy layers in the city.
Winters in Austin aren’t typically that cold, but I always have a cozy wrap or shrug handy just in case!
What’s your favorite part about winter in the South?
Sunshine, warmer temperatures, dresses without tights, and breakfast tacos.
What do you think is the biggest mistake people make when styling a dress?
Forgetting to elevate the look with a fun accessory! Whether it’s a glam clutch or statement earrings, it’s always great to top the look off.
Heels, boots, or sneakers during the winter?
Heels… heels, ALWAYS. (Throw flats in your purse for emergencies.)
Describe your style during the winter.
Cozy-chic, and lots of pastels.
