If you follow Draper James on Instagram, then you know we’ve recently started using the hashtag #DJLoveCircle.
And if you don’t? Let us explain.
The Draper James Love Circle silhouette is one of our favorites. It’s a fit and flare dress that we update and perfect every season.
As a fun challenge, we asked the ladies at Draper James HQ to style one of three spring Love Circle Dresses: the Solid Crew Love Circle Dress, the Seersucker Love Circle Dress, and the Solid V-Neck Love Circle Dress.
We wanted to showcase each person’s style as well as the versatility of the dresses. Whether it’s dressed up or down, this silhouette will be a staple in your closet.
We would love if y’all tried on this style too, so here’s a little incentive: Go into one of our stores through 4/14 and try on a Love Circle –you’ll receive $20 off your $100 order!
Read and see how our very own Draper James Girls styled the Love Circle Dress below, and get inspired to style your own.
Sarah, VP of Merchandising
“I’m a navy girl; it goes with everything! And it’s such a great shape–all you need is a pair of heels and a fun piece of jewelry.”
Jordan, Operations Assistant
“I love the lollipop red; it adds a bit of fun and sass to the everyday wardrobe. It’s the perfect outfit to wear to work then a fun happy hour with my friends!”
Elizabeth, Brand Editor
“I chose the Navy Love Circle because it’s one I can wear for three seasons—spring, summer, and fall. It’s a versatile dress that looks as good on its own as it does layered. This is an outfit I can wear to the office and then out to dinner without changing a single thing!”
Colson, Visual Merchant
“The thing I love about this color is that it really is versatile in the winter and summer months. As it is still a little chilly, I winterized it with a navy blazer and some extra festive navy fur clogs. I like mixing my colors, so I added in a softer pink accent with a geometric statement earring and a clutch to break up the heavier colors.”
Rachel, E-commerce & Art Coordinator
“I went with my foolproof styling pieces: black booties and a black moto jacket. They’re perfect for transitional styling. I added the black bandanna and a red lip (lipstick is one of my favorite accessories) for some contrast!”
Telicia, Manager of Technical Design
“I love mixing textures, colors, and patterns with a touch of vintage.”
Ashley, Digital Brand Marketing Manager
“I styled my dress with block heels and a leather jacket. Leather makes anything feel instantly cool. Pair it with a topknot and a red lip and you’re good to go.”
Kerry, Director of Wholesale
“I decided to layer the dress with a button down. Gives it a totally new look! This dress is perfect for work, but also a weekend party during the day–just change accessories!”
Stephanie, Senior Financial Analyst
“It’s the perfect dress and it’s so versatile. It’s great for work when paired with heels and a blazer.”
Ashley, Associate Merchant
“I layered the dress with a basic grey t-shirt and a navy cashmere sweater with a classic nude heel.”
Donna, VP of Production
“The fabric of this style is great; super comfortable and ideal for a brunch with friends!”
Molly, Associate Planner
“A navy dress is a good basic, and a crew neck makes it easy to add a necklace to change the look.”
Renée, Assistant Account Executive
“My usual style is a mix of vintage and vintage-inspired pieces so I wanted to bring that to my look. The turtleneck adds a ’70s vibe, and I chose to pair it with a vintage Russian watch gifted to me by boyfriend. I like to accentuate my waist, so I added a belt. Finally, I wanted to keep the look casual and comfortable so I chose to wear daisy embroidered white sneakers.”
Helen, E-commerce Analytics Manager
“Every once in a while, I’ll meet my husband after work for a midweek date. Heels and statement earrings dress up the look, but I also keep a drawer full of shoes in my desk at work (who doesn’t??), so I could run around in something more comfortable during the workday.”
Lydia, Social + Editorial Manager
“I paired the Seersucker Love Circle Dress with my late grandma’s jean jacket. She was born and raised in Semora, North Carolina, so I’d like to think she’d be proud to have it featured at a Southern brand!”
Cassidy, Associate Technical Designer
“I had been looking for an outfit to tie together my sparkly scarf and shoes, and the Love Circle provided the perfect outlet for that.”
Hanna, Customer Service Specialist
“Currently having a love affair with our Scallop Trench Coat, so I’ll wear it anytime I get the chance. The combination feels very ‘60s cinema to me.”
Katherine, Director of E-commerce
“I wore my #DJLoveCircle with my Peplum Denim Jacket because I prefer to cover my arms. I sized down in the jacket for the perfect wear over a dress fit. Plus, the jacket has a bit of stretch which makes it super comfortable.”
Whitney, Assistant to the CEO
“I wanted a style that was both sophisticated and polished, yet fun! Mixing old and new, I paired the Solid Crew Love Circle Dress with a Tweed Collar Shell from one of our very first collections. #Vintage Draper James! For accessories, a gold chain waist belt doubled as my necklace and white sneakers took the look from professional to party.”
Melissa, Director of Planning
“I chose to keep it casual by pairing with sneakers, throwing on an stripe knit blazer, and tying it together with a navy braided belt. It’s great for a day in the park running after my 9 month old!”
Lisa, Marketing Coordinator
“I love the crew neck cut, and think it’s super flattering! I wanted to incorporate a pattern and emphasize the cinch at the waist.”
Jess, Senior Merchant
“I have many different jackets, blazers, cardigans, and accessories that work with navy. Plus, it’s a color that works year round. I knew I could style it a million ways!”
