Fashionable Hostess’s Entertaining Tips:

Start your party prep as early as possible. Whether it’s setting the table a few days prior, or prepping specific aspects of your recipes, being overly prepared will make for a much smoother and less stressful event day.

Always have a bottle of champagne chilling. You never know when a guest may show up with exciting news and bottle needs to be popped in celebration!

Ask guests about dietary restrictions and allergies. There is nothing worse than cooking up a steak dinner to find out one of your guests is actually a vegetarian.

Lighting is everything. Dim lights and add candlelight for a festive party environment.

When possible, serve a buffet. Unless you have ample help serving, a seated multi-course meal will mean you and a friend doing a lot of back and forth to the kitchen swapping plates.
