Savannah may be known for its distinctly Southern charm, historic architecture, and SCAD, of course, but there’s another spooky side to The Hostess City of the South: ghost tours.

Because when the temperatures start to drop (if only by a little), there’s nothing better than getting into the Halloween spirit—plus, some of the tours provide some pretty useful interesting historical information. Below, we rounded up some of the best ghost tours in Savannah.

Be warned, though, some of these might not be for the faint of heart (or the easily frightened)…  So book a tour, wrap up in our Cable-Knit Sweater Cape, and get in the Halloween mood!

Old Town Trolley Tours: Ghosts & Gravestones

All aboard for a spooky ride around Savannah!

On this tour, you’ll stop at the Andrew Low House, which is reported to be a sight known for spirits and apparitions, and Perkin’s & Sons Chandlery on River Street, where you’ll find the historical, the nautical, and the haunted all mixed together.

Bonaventure Cemetery Tours

Voted among the most beautiful cemeteries in the world, Bonaventure Cemetery is a must-visit when you’re in Savannah. And if you’re in the city in October, there’s no better way to see it than on a tour with Bonaventure Cemetery Tours.

Just make sure you bring some comfortable walking shoes and a camera—you don’t want to miss a second of this experience.

The Savannah Ghostwalker Tour and Ghost Hunt

This tour maxes out at fifteen people, so you can be sure crowds won’t ruin your ghost tour.

You even get to use a K2 meter, known as a popular ghost hunting tool, around the haunted mansions, cemeteries, and battlefields you’ll pass during the night.

Blue Orb Savannah Ghost Tours, The Zombie Ghost Tour

Don’t bring your kids on this tour; it’s adults only. And that’s for a good reason: The stories on this tour focus on the “undead,” and there’s an alcohol option before and after the tour as well.

So leave the kiddos at home, and enjoy a night out on the town with your friends or significant other. Happy Halloween!
